Someone recently asked me (Jackie) how I stay motivated all the time. Honestly, I don't. I am just like anyone else! Some days I am motivated and other days I'd rather be at home watching a movie. You see, motivation is a feeling just like any others that we have. It comes and it goes. What stays constant is the "why." WHY I workout. I workout because I want to be fit, I want to be strong, I want to be able to enjoy being active for as long as I can in my life and let's face it, I also like to enjoy cheat meals now and again and still fit into my clothes! HA! So, I workout. I stay consistent and even on the days I have no motivation I still workout...because my WHY is much stronger than any short term motivations that aren't always even there on a day-to-day basis.
Make a list of your "whys" and post it to your fridge or your mirror. Somewhere that you can see it every day. And see if that helps you get to the gym on days where you'd rather watch a movie, too :)
