Coach

I had a very successful gymnastics career and am proud of numerous accomplishments. I am the first gymnast, male or female to ever compete a tumbling skill that involves two twists and two flips in mid-air. I had the opportunity to receive a full scholarship to the University of Alabama where I won an NCAA National Championship title. My strong gymnastics background gave me a very competitive edge that carried over to crossfit. I qualified for The Legends Championship where I took a heat win against some amazing athletes from all over the world. I also have placed in the top 100 worldwide the past 2 CrossFit Opens.

About Coach

My CrossFit journey started in 2013. Initially, I was looking for a gym where I could work out and stay in shape. I realized that CrossFit brought back the competitiveness that I had as an elite gymnast. I loved the challenge every day. I loved the small group coaching we received. And most of all I loved the people who have supported me since day 1. My gymnastics background taught me so much more than just the sport. It taught me teamwork, discipline, how to fall and get back up, how to be a good team player, humbleness, and overcoming loss. These traits have molded me into the coach that I am today. I am extremely proud of my gymnastics accomplishments. I was on the USA National Gymnastics Team for 7 years. I competed all over the world representing our country. I had the opportunity to go on tour with the 1996 Olympic Team. I earned a gold medal in the floor exercise at the US Olympic Festival. As a collegiate gymnast, I was a 6-time All-American, SEC Champion, 5-time Regional Champion, and NCAA National Champion.

Turning Point

My turning point was definitely when I walked through the doors of CrossFit Unrivaled. When gymnastics ended for me after college, I felt like I lost my identity. Being a high-class gymnast for so many years was normal. So it was a shock when my career ended. But, that all changed the first class I took at Unrivaled. I was welcomed with kindness and love by everyone there. And knew this was home for me. After a time, I realized that although gymnastics was my entire life, a new door had opened for me to become more. A successful CrossFit athlete. A coach. A personal trainer to many. And most important to me an inspiration to others. As long as I am on this earth I will continue to inspire others to be the best they can be. And that makes me happy.

Motivation & Passion

I coach because I love it. My passion is seeing others win. And accomplish things they didn't know possible. I work hard in the gym on a daily basis not just to be in shape, but to inspire others. To inspire Moms who just had a baby. Having 2 little ones of my own, I know how hard it is to get your body back, but it is possible. I believe if you want to be something, then you need to look at the part. Being a personal trainer, it is extremely important for me to look at that part. Fitness will always be my motivation and passion. And I will continue to share that with others.
